Norton blocking some pages

Click the NIS Web Assistant on your browser toolbar (if not-goto view and enable it) WHEN AT the DESIRED web page (working or not) and uncheck some of the blocks (usually ads and pop-ups), then refresh or better, close IE and then open it again and navigate back to this desired site. If it works...great...if not, make sure put the security back to where it was. The web assistant allows you to set specific changes to security at specific URLS. I couldn't view the navigation applets at my OWN web site until I did this (after installing NIS). Took awhile to figure out that for some reason NIS sees the link applets there as a blockable advertisement. For other people, it worked fine...but suddenly I couldn't even do a preview on my own site and have it display properly. Hope this helps....if not, might have to "disable" NIS (right click the globe in toolbar and select that) when going to that web page; make sure right click and enable after leaving.

NIS blocks alot of java type content...some java based chat clients etc. will not work until disable the NIS globe. I think you can do the web assistant thing with those too but I personally decided not to for my chat programs leaving the decision each time under my own positive control
