Norton Antivirus

Greetings!

Can anyone tell my how to completely remove Norton Antivirus and Personal Firewall 2003 from my computer and registry? It seems that whenever the free trial version that cam with my computer expires it creates problems, I am assuming in attempt to scare me into purchsing it. I have uninstalled it with both; it's own uninstaller and the windows add/remove tool from the control panel but it is somehow still in my computer causing Internet Explorer and connection problems.

Thanks in adavance for your support!

Go back to Add/Remove, uninstall Live Update & LiveReg. Then go
to Symantec's website and download their Cleanup tools to remove
most (not all) remnants. If you've removed all Symantec software, you
can do a Search for Symantec. You'll likely find two or more folders
with that name - Both can be deleted, a Common Files one and a
profile specific for each user on the PC. Symantec products also tend
to leave drivers in the Non-Plug&Play category of Device Manager.
They are usually named Sym---, After clicking into the details box
for each, click the Driver (Tab), then Driver details - If the vendor is
identified as Symantec, it should be uninstalled.

'Good crikies, away with your HTML horror; use plain textnext time please ,
Ms. Beauxreaugart-Weiderhoff - thanks.

So many people use Norton Screw-up-the-works and I do not know why. I guess
they think it will do something. But mostly it just messes everything up.

Anyway, see if your System Restore can fix the problem. I hope there's a
restore point to just before Norton Virus was installed:

Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

That was great! Thank you for the links to remove Norton Anti-Virus, now I have the same problem removing McAfee, does anyone know of a link to a removal tool to uninstall McAfee, I couldn't seem to find it on thier website, -perhaps there is an uninstaller out there not necessarily made by McAfee.

Thanks again for your terrific support!
