Can anyone tell me if this alert is something to worry about?

Norton Internet Worm Protection has detected & blocked an intrusion
attempt.
Intrusion: Invalid ICMP code
Intruder: 192.168.1.1
Risk level: high
Source IP: 192.168.1.1
Destination IP address: S003...
ICMP Type: 8
ICMP code: 19. Invalid

The intruder IP is for the new Netgear wireless router we just installed
and the destination IP address is the name of the networked computer
where the warning is appearing. I believe the warning occurs when
opening software which accesses the internet.

Thanks for any help!

As fas as I know you dont need Norton's Firewall as long as you have enabled
SP2 firewall. So you dont need to worry.

It means that you haven't set your Norton options to allow the local area
network (lan) as trusted. Go into the Norton options and do this. If you
aren't sure how, then either read the Norton help files or check out these

Anyone that thinks that using SP2 firewall is adequate simply doesn't
understand the difference between a REAL firewall like Zone Alarm, McAfee or
Norton needs to do a Google search and learn why.
