Norton AntiVirus 2005 Question

Bud

Please see: Norton AntiVirus 2005 main window/Reports/View Activity
Log/System

When the "Log Viewer" window is active and, under the "Norton Internet Worm
Protection" section, I'm viewing the "System" log. In the "Message" column,
notes appear stating ""User logged in". Does this reflect the times that
each and *every* user logs in? In our case we have three separate user
accounts. Will "Account User #1's" log in time be shown in this area even
while viewing the "Log Viewer" in "Account User #2's" account?

Thanks.....Bud (in Oceanside, Ca.)

I suggest you try it and see, I only had NSW 2005 installed for about
a week and ditched it. As I recall there was a master account and user
accounts which work much the same as admin / limited accounts on XP +
you can password protect the settings on the master account.

I would think you could configure it so only the master account can
view all the logs for each user, while the user accounts can only see
their own logs.

Anyway I did not think I would live long enough to get Norton IS 2005
configured in any useful way so I binned it - have fun.

That what you wanted?

Thanks Jonah.

I suggest you try it and see

It appears, thus far, that that is the case.

The "master account" being the account in which I downloaded and installed
from the Norton CD? If so....how would I accomplish that? I'm using XP SP2.

Close. ; -)

Thanks again, Bud
