Since I installed Norton Anti-Virus 2007 my system boots real slow.
Everything does works
OK after it finally finishes booting. Does anyone else have this problem?

This most likely is related to Norton loading up etc.

That's what NAV is famous: it will slow your system down. I trashed
it and now run AVAST!. My system runs more smoothly, plus AVAST!
will not complain about the subscription running out because it's
free.

Free AV is worth what you pay for them.

Been using Norton for years, however the 2007 edition slowed my system down
so much, I removed it. It was a PITA to do and had to download the special
remover from Norton to do it, now my system is back to normal. Still had
something like 337 days remaining on my license.

Want to take a bet on that? Avast has a one year renewable free registration, when
it nears expiration you will be prompted at every boot that it's about to expire.
Avast also has several protection providers, at least 2 of them are known to put a
lag into a system.

I said:

Then you need to pick the ones that are worth more than what you paid.
On the other hand, there some AV that are sold, certainly aren't worth
what you pay for them.
