NORTH WINDS IS READ-ONLY?

i would like to develop a new db, by using some imported objects from the
Northwinds database. However, it is READ-ONLY. How can make the file
available for us to make changes to?? please help....

You do not mention which objects. Most things can be copied into other
databases with drag and drop.

I would copy the database and then modify the copy. If the copy is read
only, right click on the MDB file and you should be able to change the
properties.

Sounds like you may have copied it to a CD at some point - that sets the
read-only flag. Right click the file in Windows Explorer, view its Properties,
and uncheck the Read Only checkbox.
