Normal view site looks ok Preview look different

Anybody had this problem or could tell me what to do?

When your designing a page the have the layout as you want it & then you
look in either preview or preview in browser & certain elements have moved
slightly and doesn't look right its driving me mad!

Do you use "tables" to lay out your site?
If not using them may help
