Normal.dot Template

Hi
Has anybody the answer to this. I am using 2003 and when I change some
default settings word does not hold them. When I put in some autotext and
autocorrect entries word only holds these until I close it down and reopen.
I have tried looking for the normal.dot template with a view to deleting it
in case it has got corrupted, but cannot find it even when I do a search in
hidden files. What can I do about this please as I do want to build up my
autotext entries?
Thank you. S

Normal.dot is usually located via Tools/ Options/ File locations/ User templates.

If there is a Normal.dot located in the same folder as the document you are working on, Word might use it instead of the otherwise
regular one. But I'm not sure about that.

If you use a search function to locate all the normal.dot files that might be on your computer, the one with the most recent
modification date might be illuminating.

Cheers … Gil
