Normal Already Exists

I'm having a problem with Outlook 2003 (with the latest service pack
applied). When I exit Outlook, I get an error message that says "The
file Normal already exists". It then asks me whether I want to save
the file and replace the existing "Normal." I can then either
replace the existing file or discard the changes.

Why is this happening? I have OL 2k3 on a machine at work and my
personal laptop and they both exhibit this behavior.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Doug Smith

Normal.dot is a file used by Word. You must be using Word as your Email
editor and changing the template somehow. Without knowing what mouse clicks
and keystrokes you use, it's difficult to determine how you're changing the
template.
