Non-OutlookExpress Newsgroup Reader

I am using OUTLOOK 2003, and wish to use something other than OUTLOOK EXPRESS
for my newsreader... but there is no way (I can find) to select anything else
in INTERNET OPTIONS or anywhere else.

I sometimes use FIREFOX, and have some good add-ins there I could use, but
EXPRESS launches whether I want it or not.

Any ideas??

it should be on the internet options, programs tab, if it's installed
correctly. To use it with the news button, create a hyperlink to the button.
View, toolbars, customize and right click on the button - choose hyperlink
from the bottom and browse to the firefox exe (or whatever newsreader you
want to use).

Firefox uses Thunderbird as its newsreader. Once Thunderbird is installed,
it will appear in your program list on the Programs tab of Internet
Properties of your Control Panel > Internet Options.

Not neccesarily. It uses whatever is installed and set as the default. Could
be Free Agent, Dialog, OE or whatever.
