NOD32 Version 4.0 ISSUES? Some Privacy Related.

For the most part i'm satisfied with the performance of NOD32, they've
skimped on some quasi privacy issues. I've checked my work - Advanced
options so i'm not crying wolf, give me a break i'm only in junior high
school (7th). So i like NOD32 Version 4, but i don't like the interface.
Yet the issues below should be scrutinized.

BIGGEST ISSUE:

Web Access Protection | Web Browsers

"Internet browsers: To increase security, we recommend that you mark any
application used as an Internet browser by checking the appropriate box.
If an application is not marked as a web browser, data transferred using
that application may not be scanned. To resolve performance or
compatibility problems, you can exclude applications from content
filtering by putting a "cross" in the appropriate box. Note: This
setting should only be applied if you are sure that the data transmitted
by the application is safe. Do not exclude web browsers or email clients!"

the (I made up the webbrowser.exe - you should get the idea)
[x] C:\Program files\Webbrowser\webbrowser.exe
[x] C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe

Also, if you add an .exe to their list - THERE IS NO OPTION to REMOVE
IT! In other words if you inadvertently add an .exe that isn't web
related, the Default settings do not allow you to remove
the error. Meaning you have to delete NOD32 and reinstall. Also if you
have an anti-virus your program should automatically be doing "Web
Access Protection | Web Browser protection" without you having to tell it.

2nd ISSUE:

YOU CANNOT MANUALLY SET THE SCHEDULER/PLANNER. If you remove the check
mark. YOUR PROTECTION STATUS explicitly states "Maximum protection is
not ensured."
There is not option to set it to manual update.

3nd ISSUE:
Watch Activity is a resource hog. Can't shut it off.

4the ISSUE:
In the statistics: the program is defaults to logging your last file
used. There is not option to shut this off. In other words - Your last
file is permanently logged

5the ISSUE:
You cannot set the virus signature update server. In other words aside a
netstat (Windows) you cannot see where your update is coming from.

6th ISSUE:
There is no desktop icon in the install and there is none installed in
the options, to turn on or off. that is NOD32, is now a system tray
icon. Which is fine, but when you manually update the virus signatures
it pops up. There is not control to shut it from pop up.

7th ISSUE: If you scan SSL certificates, NOD32 leaves turds in the
system temp folder.

8the ISSUE: XML txt (sig files?) turds in the temp folder, aren't deleted.

Rating 1/10 from their earlier versions: 7.0
Previous version rating 1/10: 10

Just a thought.... you might try Vipre which has spyware/virus/firewall
components, and a GREAT site license.
It is very very lean and mean. Leaner than NOD32 -google the tests! Very
good interface too.
