I have been a very satisfied user of a registered copy of Nod32 for 7
months.Recently I noticed it had stopped automatically updating at v1.935
when the current one was 1.937.When I tried to update manually I got an
error message "Error ocurred when updating program modules.(Cannot replace
current file)".Suspecting corruption I reinstalled Nod32 only to find that
it would now only update to v.1.876 with the same error message.Repetition
produces the same result.I contacted the Eset support several times but
their suggestions do not help.
I miss my Nod32.Is there anything in WinXP that could be the problem.Any
suggestions gratefully received.

I assume you have already tried deleting NOD32 and reinstalling, if not try
that. Make sure you delete the NOD32/Eset directories and search the
Registry (Regedit) for both NOD32 and Eset and remove all entries, only then
reinstall.

Mr. Thompson, you have given the OP VERY BAD ADVICE about simply deleting
the program files and directory of NOD32.
1) This is unsupported by Microsoft
2) The ONLY ways to uninstall a program is either to uninstall it from
"Control Panel/Add-Remove Programs", or use the program's "Unwise.exe"
usually found in the program directory.
