I have alot of music and video files downloaded on my computer. There are
ALOT of the same files (sometimes even several copies) in diffrent locations
on my labtop. HOW CAN I DELETE ALL THE DUPLICATE FILES AND JUST HAVE ONE
FOLDER ON MY COMPUTER WITH MY MUSIC AND MY VIDEO? Thankyou for taking the
time to help me.

Have a look at NoClone. Free trial.

Search using Google!
http://www.google.com/
(How-to: http://www.google.com/intl/en/help/basics.html )

I would search for "utility to find duplicate files" and the likes.

Something else you could do is a SEARCH on your computer for all *.MP3
files.. Then, when the search is complete, CTRL+A to select all of them and
MOVE them into the folder of your choosing - that way they are all in one
folder for you to sort through.

Same thing for the video extensions you have.

This was a reply I got for same need. It worked. Do a google search as I
forgot where I found it but it was easy.
" jv16 Power Tools will do that trick. You can still dl'd the free version
1.3 from a number of places."

You could use Windows Search, do a search by *.mp3 or (video extension), use the details
view to sort by name, delete all duplicates then drag all leftover files into new folder
(or something to that effect <grin>)

On second look, when you sort by name it does arrange by name, but only within the folder
where located.
