Ihave adell computer purchased this year I am having
trouble getting background sounds, and cd,s dont play
can,t hear songs playing do have entrance sound but
nothing afterentrance into computer.
pleasehelp me.

I'd check to see if your soundcard has an "issue" probably simplest way will
be to use dxdiag. Go to Run on the Start Menu type in dxdiag and press ok.
Move over to the Sound tab and run through it's tests.

microsoft.public.windowsxp.general and microsoft.public.windowsxp.music
might be better places to ask.
