No Wireless Networks Tab

When I open my Windows XP Network Connctions, and select
Properties for my Belkin F5D6050 USB Wireless Network
Adapter, there is no "Wireless Networks Tab".

How do I get XP to activate wireless networking so that
the Wireless Networs Tab will become available?

The Belkin network connection and monitor utility wont
remember my SSID. So, I curently have to manually enter
the SSID each time I reboot. I want to have XP manage my
wireless setting instead of the Belkin software.

Thanks in advance!

Greetings sandalboy,

The Wireless Network tab appears when your network adapter fully supports
the Wireless Zero Configuration (WZC) service. Check with your wireless
adapter vendor for a version of a driver that supports Windows XP and the
WZC. Go to Belkins website and download the latest compatible drivers for
the network card you have. Make sure the Wireless Zero Configuration
service is started. Click Start, Run, and type "services.msc". Open Services
and scroll down to the Wireless Zero Configuration, start the service and
set it to automatic.

Eric - I'm having a similar challenge with XP Home. My Linksys PCI card on
my home desktop stopped working on Saturday after had been working fine for ~
6 months. The driver is listed on device mgr with no errors and the windows
zero configuration service is running. However, I'm not getting the wireless
networks tab either when I click on properties on my wireless network
connection in the network connections dialog box. We have two laptops
working off the Linksys wireless router so I know it's working OK. I don't
know what else to try. Help!

Kirke, I have the same problem as you, except I get the wireless network tab
if I reboot my laptop. The problems appears when I disable the w-card and try
enabling again. I have a Linksys card and a 2 Netgear wireless cards. The
problem is in my laptop. WZC is running auto.

Thx
