No Windows XP disk

When I bought my computer 3 years ago, it came with Windows XP Home edition
all ready installed. The key number is on a sticker on the PC case but there
was no Windows CD included in the box.

I'm buying a new computer and when it comes, I want to do a clean install on
my old one. It has become a bit of a mess over the past years. Can I do this
without the Windows CD? If I need the CD, how can I get my hands on it?

Also, I can use the transferr wizzard to move my email settings etc. right?

Thanks,

Hi,

The old system should have a least come with a restore disk. You will
have to contact the manufacturer of the system for a disk. What is the
make and model of the system?

If the new system has WinXP Home also you could try using it for the
clean install on the old system using the product key for that system.

FAST will transfer Outlook Express email.

Thanks Bert,

The PC is an IBM NetVista model 2257-82U. I don't suppose you could help
direct me to the fastest way of getting this disc. I get SO lost chasing
links. (you can probably tell that I'm a middle aged guy who wasn't brough up
with computers)

I already have the FAST program installed. It doesn't look like it will be
too difficult to use....
