No windows temp file

While copying a CD, Roxio 5 could not copy source cd to
hdd. Found that windows temp file is no longer listed on
Win Exp (do have a wu temp). Also, when I delete items,
nothing goes into the Recycle Bin. Don't know if they are
related, but would like to get the temp file back. Any
ideas? Thanks.
