No window image

Recently I was attacked by a hacker and picked up many spyware ads, etc. Lost
my desktop window backgrounds. Cannot go into the control panel and bring
them back - for some reason the desktop section doesn't work anymore. Right
now all I have is a solid blank blue window background. I installed a spyware
sweeper and that illiminated all the spyware plus hacker. The background
picture shows when I boot up but then disappears after about 2 seconds. How
can I get my desktop background pictures back?

Hi
If you are running Windows XP you can try to restore to an earlier date
when this was not a problem. You can also go to the display and add the
background pictures there.
You would go to start, control panel, display and you will see tabs
that should get you to the background and you can select your image
either from what is there or a file

Preston,
I have not been able to get back to you regarding the repair of th blue
background because my computer crashed and I need to bring it to the
builder. Needless to say, I do not have your email address it is in
the computer I am on my laptop now and if you can resend me an email
we can continue to repair that joke virus.
