I just did a some spyware/virus checks with
Spybot Search and Destroy, AdAware SE, Avast!
and AVG. No viruses were found, but AVG says
that C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\SHELL32.DLL has been
changed.

Should I be concerned about this. I cleaned up
several infections a few days ago, and now there
are no problems, so I want to leave things alone
unless there is a real threat.

No. You installed a HotFix.

Hi Sumo Wrestler,

.....were you ever able to solve the shell32.dll change ?
I am having the same problem myself, was wondering if you could give a
guy the ups on what causes this, and how to fix it ?

Thanks,
dgxx

Like I stated. You installed a recent MS HotFix.

I'll answer that one myself! Definition: A hotfix is a single, cumulative package that includes one or more files that are used to address a problem in a product. Hotfixes address a specific customer situation and may not be distributed outside the customer organization.
