No USB icons appear in 'MY COMPUTER'??

Hi, when I plug any USB devices into my PC ( it happened with old
motherboard and this new one!) my PC makes the 'connected ok' sound but no
icon is created in 'My Computer or 'explorer' and no usb devices show under
the 'send to' list. Can anybody PLEASE help?

Which device u r connecting / using ?
what is the OS ?

u can check in the MY computer if ur USB drivers are installed
properly

press "Windows Key + pause break Key"
system properties will open click hardware tab , click Device manager
brows to the bottom of the device manger window and look fro USB
controller and it has no ? mark sign next to it

more info is need for proper trouble shooting
