No tray icon for task manager

I don't get a tray icon for task manger. Does anyone know how to make the

Turned off the Windows Classic Theme, switched to XP Style. That brought the
task manager icon back. I don't like XP Style, though, so I used used classic
style windows to get my desktop looking the way I want and the icon is still
there. Now I have my task manager tray icon back!
