no top margin in print view

This is an odd one. In print layout view, type in Word
sits directly under the top margin of the sheet. The
document performs normally when printing or adding
headers, but the display is very difficult to work with.
when I emailed a file to a colleauge, it opened with the
same setting on his machine, so I suspect it is a setting
in the Normal template- but I have not been able to find
anything.

Anyone seen this before? Thanks for any help.
