No Text when in Thumbnail View

When I apply 'Thumbnail View' in the My Pictures folder
in My Documents the names of the files and folders are
hidden! All I get is the Thumbnail Icons and no text
underneath them whatsoever. This is very strange because
it only happens in that particular folder. Although this
might not be a problem for pictures, it's rather annoying
because it's impossible to distinguish between folders
without checking their contents first! Hope somebody can
help me out! Thanks, Matt
 
Turn thumbnils of, turn the back on hile holding the shif key down. Repeat to dismiss.
 
Have you tried rebooting.

If that doesn't help then type in Start - Run

rundll32 mydocs.dll,PerUserInit

Case is important for the PerUserInit part.
