no taskmanager/control , no desktop icons

basically, i have lost all control of my system.
i loaded a pice of software named tweak pro which was supposed to keep me
safe from intruders. when i loaded it i ticked some boxes and this morning i
was presented with no icons. i spent a good while trying to get access
,however i get messages task manager disabled by administrator., whoever that
is as it is a single user system
general conclusion is i have done real damage and to an old it fart the only
way out of this i see is to start again and reload xp

whats a registry ( i got married in a church 55 years ago)
i dont understand thanks anyway.
i had already thought about a rstore but i cannot access the control panel
