No System Speaker Driver Detected.

About 5 months ago, I turned on my computer to find that my speakers on my
laptop weren't giving out any sound. The mute wasn't on, and nothing was
disabled. So I unistalled the driver, updated it and tried to correct the
problem myself, now the only way I can get sound is to plug in headphones or
another speaker system into my usb plug. Is there any way to reinstall this
driver that I'm missing?

Hi,

If it is any help, if I have ever come across any issues like this before,
my first point of call is to go directly to the laptop manufacturers website.
They tend to have a support page where you find a drivers link and where you
can specify the model of laptop you have.

Check to see if there are any new drivers for the sound card and or
mainboard. Rule of thumb, if you are not sure if it's a newer driver or not,
download and install it as the O/S will not allow an older driver to
over-write a nwer one unless you speciafy you want it to. It may be prudent
to see if any other drivers have been updated too.

Hope this helps you out.
