No standby/hibernation button

I have a Compaq Evo 330V and when I first bought it I could put it into standby and hibernation. However, after about 5 or 6 months, I went to the "Turn off computer" button and found that the standby button was not available. It has stayed like that since then and I have no idea why this has happened. I have also noticed in the power schemes window, the settings for standby have disappeared

Thanks to anyone who can explain this problem and maybe make the standby option return!

Usually this happens because of a video card driver being
out of date. I'd go to the card manufacturer and see if
there is an updated driver and install it.

Failing that, try re-installing the same driver.
