no sound

no sound coming from speakes using windows xp
professional have tried all the trouble shooters, enabled
all devices etc. etc. still not working please help ready
to do something drastic lol

Did sound used to work ?
If so, what changed in the interim ?
Cables all plugged in correctly ?
All sounds not work ? Wav ? Mid ? Cd-ROM ?
Some work & some don't ?
Anyone been inside the case ?
Have you tried System Restore ?
Is the power light on on the speakers ?

Don't panic, it's not critical (well, it wouldn't be to
me, anyway). Find the solution !

Right click my Computer and select Manage
Under Services and Applications select Services
Scroll down to Windows Audio and make sure it is set to AUTOMATIC

Make sure you connections to the speakers are correct, double check them
(there's a possibility that they are not connected in the right place)
