no sound??

All of the sudden my sound doesn't work - it says "There are no active mixer
devices available. To install mixer devices, go to Control Panel, Printers
and Other Hardware and then click Add Hardware. I did that but I only have
Printers listed - not Add Hardware - can anyone help me figure out what
happened?

I'm on xp pro - and have a microsoft wireless multimedia keyboard 1.1 I
uninstalled the intellitype/point pro software as when I would hit the mute
button on the keyboard to turn sound off or on - a box came up saying that
there was a problem with the IntelliType Pro software installation - to fix
problem remove software run agtain

I did that several times - no help there either - same problem

Open the Device Manager and update or roll back the audio drivers.
