No Sound

After upgrading to Windows XP, the only thing that went
wrong was that I now have no sound. My speakers work and
when I go to check my volumn it says 'No mixer
device'. I'm sure I lost something due to the
upgrade, but how do I retrieve my sound? SOMEONE HELP
ME PLEASE---PLEASE---PLEASE????????????????????

Check your bios settings to make sure on board sound was
not disabled during setup.And this has nothing to do with
the color of your hair, but check volume controls.(right
click speaker on taskbar)...Good luck.
