I am a novice Windows XP user and I desperately need help here. I some how
lost the sound of my computer. I went through the troubleshoot technioques
indicated by the Help and Support Functions and found the following:
1. When checking to ensure the sound device is turned on. I opened the
Device Manager. DOuble-clicked on SOund,Video, game controllers, right
clicked on properties and the only tab I got was "General" only.
2. There was No Device Usage or Device enable tabs
3. When I verified the sound device is in the default mode; It listed
"Realtek AC97 Audio" only for Sound Playback and Sound Recording. The MIDI
Music Playback is "MPU-401.

Help, I do not what to do or what to download to fix this problem. Please
forward answers to (e-mail address removed).

THANK YOU!!!!!!

or software for thier sound hardware, reason being, they dont use WHQL & digit-
taly signed anything..You need to go to thier web site or install from the
pcs
cd that came with the pc..One other problem,xp might not load thier software/
drivers because its unsigned...
