No sound when trying to capture live tv

Cannot capture sound on live tv through analog tv card ATI. Get good video,
channel changes but no audio during preview or on captured file. Audigy 2 ZS
sound card. Sound works fine on other applications. No error messages, just
no sound. Imported video works okay. Is MM capture limited somehow to
cameras? Tried all the outputs shown in the wizard. Direct x is 9.0c.
Direct diagnostics are all proper.

MM is designed to work with digital video via firewire. Some people have
success with analogue capture and MM, but it can lead to several problems
like this. The audio cables are connected to the line in of the sound card
and you have selected this as the audio option in MM?
Othewise did the graphics card come with an application you can use?

I have tried all the inputs including line-in and wave. The card works with
got all media and ATI mmc and I can record with them and import but I was
trying to eliminate a step. Was hoping someone else had solved this problem.
I can see a video and audio track on the edit screen. I am going to see if
the audio track is empty by trying to play it separately. Thanks for your
response.
