No sound when playing DVDs

Hi.

For the first time ever we stuck a DVD into this XP-Pro machine.

The video plays fine but there is no sound.

Any suggestions as to what has gone wrong? Or can anyone suggest a better
group to ask this question on?

What program are you playing the DVD with? XP doesn't come with DVD codecs
so it's possible you need 3rd party software if you don't already have it.
 
Forget it - discovered the CODEC was broken!
