DVD Sound Problems

I have a Compaq DVD-ROM SD-M1612. It plays CDs fine and DVD picture quality
is fine, however recently the audio from DVD is crackly and also contains an
echoy jumpy sound. Like I say this only occurs with audio on DVD videos.

Also I only get sound at all with WINDVD. Real Player and Windows Media
Player can both play DVDs, but there is no sound at all.

I've tried deleting andreinstalling the driver, but it has no effect.

Any Suggestions?

Hi Kirky

Google for NimoCodec pack, and try Real player/ WMPlayer sites for audio
codecs to install.
