No sound recording in MCE on RC1

I've got an MCE system built with a S754 Athlon 64 3200+ on a DFI LANParty
nf3 250gb UT mobo, 1 GB RAM, Radeon X800XT, SB Audigy 2 ZS, Hauppage WinTC
Nova-T and a Hauppage WinTV HVR-1100, everything works perfectly in XP MCE.
However, when I rebuilt it using Vista RC1 or the Post RC1 update (couldn't
use RC2 because of the problem where it incorrectly scans for channels when
using Hauppage cards) Live TV and existing Recorded TV worked perfectly, but
recording TV does not. If I schedule a recording it won't record any sound
other than occaisionally some bloke talking in the background (?!) and when
playing back randomly displays the No TV Signal screen, though the video is
there as I can skip back and forward to it. If I record the program I'm
watching then it does the same, just without the No TV Signal bit.

Recordings are to a seperate 400GB HDD from the main one, have the latest
Vista drivers I could find for all the hardware.

Can anyone help?

I have the same problem but intermitently. Sometimes recordings have video
& sound perfect - there seems to be no patern yet. Can't yet find out why
but sure as hell it can't just be affecting two of us. Anyone else?

Hi Dave,

I have the same problem, it occurs mainly when MCE is launched automatically
i.e. when a program is set to record. If MCE is running, or has been launched
previously without power down, the problem disappears.

I also have a NOVA-T with on board sound Realtek (with the microsoft
supplied sound drivers)

Please let me know if you come across a solution
