No Sound or Muffled Sound

Just recently I've noticed that the volume of sound coming from my
speakers/computer is either not there or is muffled. When it disappeared I
went to the restore point and was able to get a unstandable but muted sound
come from my speakers.

Playing CDs or trying to hear someone on an IM video/audio session is very
difficult. I have all of the volume controls (speakers, computer) turned all
the way up.

Sounds your speakers are not properly connected or need replacing.
