No sound on my right side

My computer has randomly decided not to be able to play sound from the right
side of my speakers, but not just that, it can't seem to play it in
headphones and in its own laptop speakers, suggesting an internal problem
rather than incorrect wiring on the speakers. Having rebuilt my computer to
no avail, anyone got any ideas? Thanks.

Actually, it sounds like a hardware issue, perhaps some problem with the
soundcard. Maybe you need to update the drivers for the card from the
manufacturer's website, maybe the card is not properly seated in its slot or
maybe there is something wrong with the card.

Thanks, it seems probably related to me installing a sound card recently and
then uninstalling it - it didn't work properly so I've got to take it back.
Hopefully all will be sorted out when I get a new one. Thanks again.
