no sound, no video on one program

Vista problems and I am not a computer troubleshooter.
I need help! I recently downloaded a new program to run my karaoke
business. I get no sound except clicks and no video. The cdg's are
converted to kma files for this program, so I am assuming that it has
something to do with the type of files.

Another problem that I am having is trouble pulling up several websites.

My desktop with xp works fine with both problem issues that I am having with
my new laptop which is an Acer aspire 5570-2067.

Can anyone help me?

Hi,

What program is it and did you verify that it is compatible with Vista?
Also, if it is not, then you might try using compatibility mode for the
program.
