choppy sound

Hi,

I have a digital camera that takes short movies. When I listen to the .avi
files on my Acer laptop the sound is choppy. I have Vista Home Premium.
Can anyone help me trouble shoot why this is happening? I have no problem
with it when I play these .avi clips on my desktop.

Just in case anyone else is having this problem I found out the solution.
This is the support I got..."the file form the memory card reader is too
large and the system is hard in reading the file while playing it at the
same time.
I suggest to copy the file to your hard drive from your memory card before
playing it."

It works.
