NO SOUND ,HELP

After upgrading to XP from Win98se I now have no sound.I've installed my
Sound Blaster Live card I got when I bought my pc some 4 years ago.Initially
when I loaded the disk it said it wouldnt work so I used the compatability
wizard and its installed but I still get no sound.Could someone please help
this luddite?
