NO SOUND for 2 Days

2 days ago ALL sound stopped on my computer. I am not computer savvy, so have
not tried anything except for help and support in my system. Somehow, the
sound turned back on yesterday after I downloaded updates, however it has
stopped again. Not sure where to begin. Any guidance would be appreciated.
