My windows xp 2003 standard edition completely crashed. Having gone through
a number of options, the adviser said that I must install the original disc.
Obviously this has meant I have lost a lot of data..He suggested downloading
the audio driver from ASUS, but I am not having any luck installing. Any
suggestions anyone? I have also used Microsoft help and device set up
wizard, the driver seems to install and then when I attempt to run it, it is
stating that it is not compatible with my PC, even though this is the
recommended driver? HELP! PLEASE!

P.S...I have made sure sound is enabled in BIOS

Two things to do. First, what is the make/model of the
ASUS motherboard? Someone will point you to the right
sound drivers to download and install. Second, re-post
also in alt.comp.periphs.mainboard.asus...maybe for a
faster response.
