No Sound at all with Realtek

I have been trying to fix this problem with every suggestion and nothing. I
have a Toshiba A105-S4334 with XP MCE ?SP3 and about a month ago no sound. I
don't know if from update or what but I'm going nuts can someone please help?

1. Update the drivers for the sound card. Get them from Toshiba's website.

2. Also check to make sure you haven't inadvertently turned the sound button
off. Quite a few Toshiba laptops have a scroll button on the case that can
easily get turned down or off.

3. If #1 and #2 don't work, the chip on the motherboard may have died. Since
this is a laptop, you can't fix/replace this yourself. Contact Toshiba tech
support.

Long shot, but a while back I had a problem that whenever I plugged in a USB
mike, windows reckoned I had a USB headset and diverted sound output as well
as mike input to it.
Have learned to check Control Panel Audio devices - p'raps give this a look
and make sure your Realtek IS the output device?

Remove all drivers reboot, and reinstall.
I also have realtek sometimes it's a pain.
