No sleep anymore !

Hi people,

I've installed Logitech SetPoint 3.30 (3.30.165 drivers) for my MX 3200
cordless keyboard/mice and my computer does not enter into sleep nor
hibernation anymore. I've tried lots
of plan settings with no success. Computer has video, Windows, motherboard
bios and other drivers updated as far as I know.
The other important thing is : this also happened with other sofware like
Palm Windows Desktop and so and I had to use the restoration utility to have
sleep and hibernation working . I would like to know what system file is
corrupted (if it's the case )when some software like that is installed. I'd
love to be able to recover my energy plans again!

Any help for Heaven's Sake ?!

Thanking in advance,

Dear Sergio

Here is one idea

USB memory sticks, and also USB mice are common culprits for prematurely
waking up the computer. In the case of accidental mouse activation,
consider laying the mouse on its back.

To troubleshoot the problem visit the Device Manager
1) Control Panel --> System and Maintenance --> System --> Device Manager.
2) Right click the suspect device
3) Properties
4) See if it has a Power Management Tab.
5) If so, then remove the tick next to: 'Allow this device to wake up the
computer'.

I have a few more ideas here, but mainly for the reverse problem, won't wake
once its a sleep.
