no signal message

Since buying a new computer running XP pro i have trouble with a no signal
message popping up on my computer. Most times it happens when the kids are
offline playing games. During play the message appears then the screen goes
blank. We generally have to restart the computer, causing tantrums in the
household. I have had problems with graphics, such as freezing, (even my fish
freeze on screensaver) and pictures on some games are unrecognisable. i have
radeon x1600series. I am annoyed as when i bought the computer i asked
salesperson would new games work ok on this computer- answer was yes. Any
help appreciated - Shell

Hello,

It sounds like a hardware issue, either the fan on your graphic card is
doing its job properly or the graphic card is malfunctioning.

Since you mentioned that you recently bought this computer, call the
manufacturer requesting them for warranty assistance. It is most likely that
your graphic card needs to be replaced.
