No 'Sharing Tab'

Tom

I currently use my Laptop as a Wireless connection for my XBOX360. I plug it
in the ethernet port, change the 'Sharing settings' so that I can "Allow
other's to connect through this network" and then connect to my wireless
router with my laptop. Recently however, the entire Sharing tab (Under
network and sharing centre > view status > properties) has completely
disappeared. I have found loads of people with the same problem but no
answers. Please help me get the tab back!

Windows help says
"The Sharing tab will not be available if you have only one network
connection."

What does that mean and why do I need 2 connections and how do I get another
connection?

Please don't make the answer complicated please because I am not very good
with computers!

Thanks

You are attempting a very complicated and circuitous connection requiring
skill and knowledge, yet you restrict your answer to a remedial level. Also,
there is no tutorial or help facility that recommends what you are
attempting. So to keep it simple, it ain't gonna work. You have two network
devices a wireless adapter and the Ethernet, but they are not configured for
separate network segments (IP address issue).

Get a wireless adapter for your XBOX 360 to connect to your router or hard
wire it through Ethernet cable to your router as recommended. Keep your
laptop out of it. It adds one too many hops to your destination and goal.
Your 360 will still have access to your Laptop for other sharing if you
choose and your setup will be awesome.
