No Security Tab

I have a user whose home machine (XP) had a virus, which we have cleaned up.
But he is having a problem with some of the profiles that appear to be
security related, so I instructed him to check the Security settings under
the various folder properties. But he informs me he has no Security Tabs in
his properties. The Disk is NTFS and not FAT.
Now I have not seen the machine, so maybe he is just missing something, but
this user has an above average knowledge of computers.
Anyone know where the Security Tab went or how to get them back??

Hi Yor,

If he is using Home Edition, he needs to start in Safe Mode and log in as an
Administrator in order to access the Security tab.

If he is using Professional Edition, he needs to disable Simple File Sharing
(Folder Options>View tab....scroll down to "Use simple file sharing") in
order to access the Security tab.
