No rule can be set up to delete mail after 24 hours in outlook

There are numerous emails everyday and my mailbox is over size limit very
often. I always wanted to set up a rule to move emails longer than 24 hours
to Deleted Ittems folder, but there is no such rule. I am using office 2003
outlook

Have you tried using AutoArchiving for that. It can be set to delete items
as opposed to archiving/moving them
