no restore points were set, any hope of recovering MS Office data?

XP pro user. Tried to change setup of MS Office. Accidentially
uninstalled all MS Office apps. Then discoverd that zero restore
points were being created because e:\ was too full. Is there any hope
of restoring to a prior date/time in the absence of restore points?
Recovering the .pst files is what I really want (the more recent the
better) Any hope? Thanks!

Uninstalling Office will not have deleted or otherwise affected any
data files, as those are stored in the user profile's folders. Unless
the user specified otherwise, by default, Outlook would have stored that
..pst in C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook.

But, to answer your question, no, it wouldn't be possible to do a
system restore if there are no restore points saved. However, this
doesn't matter, as System Restore, as its name makes clear, is for
returning *system* files and settings to an earlier state; it's not
intended to have any affect on data files.

System restore wouldn't help anyway. You need to reinstall MS Office.
