No response for F8 in License Agreement screen

Greetings
I need help!!
After a clean format (FORMAT C: /FS:NTFS) I reboot from my CD-ROM, select WINDOWS XP install which takes me to the license agreement screen. From there I have the choice to either accept the license agreement (F8) or not (ESC). Hitting F8 gets no response. Hitting ESC gets me out of that screen and causes my machine to reboot

I have already tried CHKDSK and FIXBOOT from the Recovery Console. Did not help

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Found the problem. Apparently my Logitech keyboard is not supported by Windows XP when the system is in that state. Plugged in an old KB that I had sitting in a closet and was able to hit F8.

.....now I'm getting "invalid partition table". Are we having fun yet!!!!

Hi,

Remove the existing partition, start the installer. Let it create the
partition and format as part of setup.

You may also want to recheck your hardware detection settings, just in case
(jumpers, loose cabling, etc.).

Hey, Javirod.
I had the same annoyance when I tried to install Windows XP.
Look at your Logitech k/b, is there a "F Lock" ? If so enable it and you can
use Function keys.
My k/b is a Microsoft one yet in default F Lock is not on thus I was not
able to F8 (Agree)!
