No remote sound with Remote Desktop Connection

I have a host pc running XP SP2 with Remote Desktop Sharing on. The
client (running XP embedded SP2) can connect and use the host pc's
desktop and all just fine, but there is no sound sent to the client
machine, even though it was specified to do so in the terminal services
client settings.

I do not get any error messages when playing an audio file through a
terminal services connection, and both winamp and windows media player
play the file just fine, showing visualizations, the position slider
moving, etc.

Does anyone know what could be blocking the audio from streaming to the
client?

When opening the mstsc from the run command prompt, click on the option
button and check the local resourses tab. there should be a place to select
setting for the remote computer sound.

If this has already been tried please repost. I will look further into this

I already have the sound setting in the Local Resources tab to "Bring
to this computer."

ok.. if that is done then the only other thing I can think of is asking
around for you. I have to check. Will be back with a reply as soon as possible

I did try this on another machine. That one was running XPSP2, and
sound works fine on it through RDP. However, the client machine I'm
trying to get it working on is running XP Embedded, but I assumed since
it's the same terminal services client that it may not matter that it
is XPe and not XPSP2.
